As its name implies, "homework" involves tasks and assignments students complete at home. Homework is carefully designed to practice and reinforce skills that are learned at school. It is also a way to encourage student responsibility for learning.

In 5th grade, it is my expectation that students will spend 50 minutes (on average) each night on homework assignments. This includes work on the weekly spelling packet, completion of nightly math assignments, and time spent reading independently. Each week, students will receive a homework packet that includes the spelling work and reading log -- these are due on Friday. Each night, students will receive a "Study Link" for math homework -- these are due the day after they are assigned. If there are ever any questions about assignments, please let me know.

Homework assignments will be recorded by students each day in their student agenda. Also, you may check the list below for information on recent assignments:
